Interesting stuff happens when you open up yourself to the universe.

Since doing this experiment, I’ve really begun to realize that by simply “putting myself out there” it opens up opportunity in general.

One thing is that I met a parent at the school I work at who supposedly works as a choreographer on the show “Glee”!  Interesting, huh?  I didn’t know that of course until AFTER I met him, but you can bet the next time I see him, I’ll be sure to tell him what I’m doing!!   Hey!  Ya never know!!  He might be a great connection to help me get seen.

But, even more, I’ve felt so inspired and creative since this undertaking.  It’s opening up other opportunities that may have not been possible had I not been doing this.  I’m also applying for two directing fellowship programs, which has forced me to put together some of my work as a director.  Also, I had a great, informative meeting re: acting, which has put me into a business mindset.  Although, it might not pan out (as far as the meeting went) I liked it because it’s forced me to confront some marketing issues I’ve been thinking about over the last year.

Bottom line is it’s just so great to feel pro-active in my career.  For a goal that seemed SO IMPOSSIBLE, suddenly, it feels obtainable now.  Funny how that works.
